Have you played Metro: Last Light yet? I keep asking people that, implying that this is a game that they really should have played already, and yet they don’t seem to be taking the hint. Maybe it’s the incredibly atmospheric areas, stark nuclear landscapes, stellar shooting and visceral combat that’s turning them off. I know it’s not the story either, ’cause that’s full of russians and nazis to shoot. Well, for those of you who know better, you’ll be happy to hear that the first bit of DLC for Last Light is finally available, in the form of the mission-based Faction Pack.
Scheduled to be the first of four such packs, the Faction pack includes several separate missions, each related to a specific metro resident and his faction. Between the Red Line, the Reich, and the Polis Rangers, you’ll get three missions that are unconnected to the main story to play through, each with its own distinct feel and gameplay twist. The pack is now available for $5/€5 on all platforms including Steam, or as part of the $15/€15 season pass. The reason I mention Steam in particular is because it’s still in the throws of a summer sale for a few more days, which means it’s a great time to pick up Last Light as well. It bears mentioning that the game has already been on a daily sale, but might also be coming back for the last day of sales, so watch out for that. Here’s the customary trailer.
